Artifact 1: Unit Plan
Throughout this course we focused on the creation of a unit plan that incorporated e-learning. This was a challenging activity that required some creative design. This was a great activity to take what I already do and add that e-learning element that can elevate my instruction. This unit plan forced me to create some extra activities and resources for my classes that I plan to use the next time I teach this unit. I found the feedback I received from both the instructor and peer review to be beneficial and encouraging that what I created is done well.

Artifact 2 : Genius Hour
By far my favorite portion of this course was the genius hour blogging. This year I started a student led technology group that I was nervous about. I attended ISTE this past summer and saw the benefits of this group, but was unsure I could create something that could be comparable. I had the support of my principal, a collection of tech savvy kids, and ideas. I knew this would be difficult to pull off as more than just a fun club, but I needed to be committed to making it happen. I’m thankful this course forced me to choose a project to take up and create a routine around. I feel that I accomplished a lot more by making the tech ninjas my passion project. I see the fruits of my labor as well from students, colleagues, and administration. I’m excited to continue to make this passion a priority and a eager to see how this group continues to develop.
