Artifact 1: Assessment Tool Infographic
I really enjoyed the variety of assessment resources who analyzed during this course. I have included my assessment tool infographic as my first artifact because I really enjoyed creating this infographic. I feel like I captured the theme of game based learning and assessment in this infographic. I know this activity has allowed me to feel more of an expert on these two resources that many teachers use. I am excited to share this infographic with coworkers who may not use these resources yet or are deciding between which one works best for their classroom. This module also helped me understand the importance and benefits of analyzing assessments that we want to use in the classroom.
Artifact 2: Student Self-Assessment Framework
For this assignment we were asked to create a self-assessment, a goal planning sheet, and a reflection activity. I took activities I do with my students and created each of these self-assessments and plan to include them in my classes. I found that crafting the language for each of the portions of this activity was rather challenging. Going through this challenge, however, will make it easier when I create other self-assessment frameworks for other units. I realize the importance of including the reflection portion and feel that that task is often overlooked in the learning process.
